Ross Coulthart's line in the sand at the Capitol
Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart has framed the upcoming June 9 UAP and UFO news conference on the Capitol steps as a line in the sand, criticizing the slow pace of official disclosure.
In a June 7 segment on NewsNation Prime, investigative journalist Ross Coulthart framed the upcoming June 9 Capitol steps news conference as a critical threshold for official UFO and UAP transparency promises.
Coulthart characterized the scheduled bipartisan event on the steps of the U.S. Capitol as a "drawing of a line in the sand," arguing that President Trump's administration has yet to deliver on pledges of full transparency. According to Coulthart, the event reflects mounting frustration within Congress—particularly within the bipartisan House UAP Caucus—over continued administrative and intelligence community roadblocks.
"Ultimately President Trump really hasn't delivered yet on his promise of full transparency on UAP files," Coulthart stated, noting that releasing minor files while withholding substantial records does not satisfy the public or congressional demand.
UAP Caucus seeks whistleblower protections
The June 9 event is scheduled to feature congressional members of the UAP Caucus, including Representatives Eric Burlison, Jared Moskowitz, Anna Paulina Luna, and Tim Burchett, alongside whistleblowers and journalists Leslie Kean and James Fox.
Coulthart emphasized that while former intelligence officer David Grusch is the most prominent public witness participating, "there are many others behind the scenes" who wish to step forward but do not yet feel safe doing so. The primary objective of the UAP Caucus, according to Coulthart, is to advance UAP disclosure legislation that establishes robust protections to prevent retaliation against future whistleblowers, such as those recently detailed in the Dylan Borland retaliation claims.
Claims of CIA and OGA retrieval programs
During the segment, Coulthart aligned with recent remarks by Rep. Tim Burchett, who accused federal agencies of actively blocking the President's ability to disclose UAP information. Coulthart specifically pointed to the CIA and its Office of Global Access (OGA) as primary gatekeepers.
The OGA, which has been repeatedly linked in public claims to retrieval and reverse-engineering programs, was characterized by Coulthart as a key source of obstruction. He alleged these programs are funded by diverting monies from other authorized programs, keeping them shielded from congressional oversight.
"Releasing some interesting but not promising videos from inside the Pentagon and the intelligence community isn't really going to help," Coulthart argued, referencing the Department of War's recent PURSUE releases. He asserted that whistleblowers possess and are willing to share significantly more substantial files, images, and documents if legally protected pathways are established.
The NewsNation segment also previewed an upcoming investigative special, The Road to Disclosure, scheduled to air on Saturday, June 13, coinciding with the release of Steven Spielberg’s theatrical film Disclosure Day on June 12.
