Hannity's UFO segment puts the FBI back in the UAP disclosure story
Dan Farah says the FBI is taking UAP disclosure seriously behind the scenes. Tim Burchett says Congress has seen stronger material. The public file has not caught up.
On June 2, Fox News host Sean Hannity aired a prime-time segment with Rep. Tim Burchett and Dan Farah, director of the documentary The Age of Disclosure.
The segment put the FBI back into the UAP disclosure story. It did not put a document, an on-record bureau source, or a specific case file next to the claim.
What Farah said
Farah told Hannity that people interviewed for his documentary had described an 80-year cover-up involving non-human intelligent life and technology of non-human origin. He moved to the present tense: the White House, he said, is facing that reality and trying to undo the cover-up.
His specific agency claim concerned the FBI. Farah said few federal agencies had moved in line with the administration's declassification push, but the FBI is engaging seriously, treating the matter as a priority, and could become the place where information is "shaken out" through investigation.
The segment carries Farah's account. No FBI memo, no bureau spokesperson on the record, no public case file appears with the claim.
What Burchett added
Burchett used the segment for a different point: Congress has seen more compelling material than the public has.
He told Hannity that he, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, and others had viewed footage, including material he associated with the FBI. Some of what is being released, he said, is easily explainable and not the strongest part of what members have been shown privately.
The public releases, in his telling, are not the whole pile.
What's actually in the public record
The public side is the release trail: the Department of War's PURSUE portal, recent video batches, historical documents, NASA audio, and individual file labels that can be checked one by one.
The FBI, in this segment, sits on the cast list but not in the file.
Until that changes — a named official on the record, an FBI document with a case number, a congressional letter, or a bureau press statement — Hannity didn't add a file. He added the FBI back to the cast.
