Bob Lazar's 2026 promotional tour: Area52, Travis Walton, and a new S-4 name tease

A Saucer Co DeLorean print, a 7 May Area52 teaser for a new S-4 colleague name from a deleted scene, and a 24 June Flying Saucer Diner meeting with Travis Walton — Bob Lazar's 2026 cycle is the visible leg of a four-year product pipeline around a 1989 claim.

Thirty-seven years after his silhouette first appeared on Las Vegas television, Bob Lazar is back on a media cycle. The 2026 rollout centres on S4: The Bob Lazar Story, a 1-hour-54-minute documentary directed by Luigi Vendittelli and Christopher Matteau that reached Amazon Prime Video on 3 April 2026. The film currently holds a 96 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes across roughly 250 reviews; the critic score is empty. The documentary is the hub of a sprawling commercial network — and three Instagram accounts, none of them Lazar's own, drove the public face of the cycle over the spring and summer.

The first of those accounts to surface the new material was @area52investigations, the official channel of YouTuber and magician Chris Ramsay, on 7 May 2026. The teaser read, in part:

"Tomorrow at 12pm et, Bob Lazar returns to the Area52 Podcast with New Information. This will be the first time since 1989 that a new name in connection with S4 has been revealed by Bob. Our discussion follows a deleted scene from the documentary 'S4: The Bob Lazar Story'. Internet Sleuths are about to have a field day."

That promise of a new S-4 colleague came 37 years after Lazar's first on-camera interview with KLAS investigative reporter George Knapp, in May 1989. The small group of colleagues Lazar has publicly named since 1989 includes Dennis Mariani, Gene Huff, and Barry Castle. As of 31 July 2026, the promised name has not appeared in any subsequent public post. The comments below the 7 May teaser are now a public record of the speculation the deleted scene generated — users tossed out names like "Rene" and "Hayes," and one commenter asked whether the new figure would be "a retired U.S. Air Force general with ties to UFO research that recently vanished." None of the speculation is sourced to a verifiable public document.

Seven weeks later, on 24 June 2026, Ramsay's personal @chrisramsay52 account posted a 14-second reel of Lazar and Travis Walton, the Arizona logger whose alleged 1975 abduction became the basis for the 1993 film Fire in the Sky, sitting together at the Flying Saucer Diner in Las Vegas. The caption read, in full: "Bob Lazar and Travis Walton meet for the first time at the Flying Saucer Diner. 🛸 Friday, June 26th at 12pm et on the Area52 Youtube Channel." The reel had 3,246 likes and 296 comments as of 31 July. Jeremy Corbell's verified comment "So epic!!!" and Vendittelli's "Two colossal men, sitting together for the first time…..This just elevated the bar" both appear on the post.

Between those two moments, on 15 April 2026, the merchandise brand @saucerco dropped another piece of the puzzle: a "BACK TO S4" print featuring Lazar, paired with a DeLorean, and presented to Vendittelli at the Back to the Future house in Los Angeles. The caption: "We designed this BACK TO S4 print featuring @unitednuclearbob and surprised @lvendittelli with it at Marty McFly's house! 🛸"

The pipeline behind the tour

The man connecting these dots is Luigi Vendittelli, a Canadian marketer who entered the Lazar orbit during the COVID-19 shutdown. He began by building a die-cast scale replica of the "Sport Model" — the disc Lazar claims he was hired to reverse-engineer at a facility called S-4, near Area 51, in 1988, alongside 22 other physicists. That physical model morphed into a digital VR environment. As Vendittelli explained to George Knapp in a 9 April 2026 interview for KLAS Mystery Wire, his team interrogated Lazar on everything from hallway paint colours to workbench positions to render the 3D Papoose Lake hangars. "At least there's a way to monetize it," Vendittelli told Knapp, acknowledging the heavy financial investment required for the four-year project.

That monetization is now fully realised. Beyond the Amazon documentary, Vendittelli's team runs the WANA Channel (wearenotalone.com), a subscription service offering bonus episodes including Bob Lazar: Unfiltered and George Knapp & Bob Lazar: Unfiltered for $8.88 a month or $88.89 a year after a three-day free trial. The pipeline also includes an Apple Music soundtrack, a Project Gravitaur merchandise catalogue, and Ramsay's "It's Probably Nothing 2026 West Coast Tour" — live stops in Tucson, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver in August, with tickets sold through itsprobablynothing.com.

What hasn't changed

By the end of July 2026, the new name teased in May has not been released, and no new piece of public-record evidence has been added to the underlying claim since 1989. The evidence cited in 2026 remains Lazar's testimony, a 1989 desert video of a distant glowing light recorded by Gene Huff, and Lazar's personal sketches of the hangar floor plan. The documentary features interviews with Lazar's wife Joy Lazar, Huff, former colleague Mario Santa Cruz, and Knapp. It does not include an independent academic physicist evaluating Lazar's propulsion claims, a documentary verification of Lazar's claimed degrees from MIT and Caltech, or commentary from an official government agency on the existence of S-4.

Element 115 — which Lazar identifies as the disc's reactor fuel — was synthesised in 2003 in a joint Russian-American laboratory and officially named moscovium by IUPAC in 2016. No peer-reviewed publication has supported Lazar's claim that the element has anti-gravity or propulsion applications, and the IUPAC naming announcement makes no reference to such properties. Lazar's claimed master's degree in physics from MIT and bachelor's degree from Caltech have never been verified by either institution, both of which have stated in response to media enquiries that they have no record of his attendance. The existence of S-4 itself — the Papoose Lake hangars Lazar describes — has not been confirmed by the Department of Defense, the CIA, or the Department of Energy, despite Area 51's existence being publicly confirmed by the CIA in 2013.

Lazar's account has not changed since his May 1989 broadcasts with Knapp: he says he worked at S-4 near Groom Lake in 1988, attempting to reverse-engineer a disc-shaped craft powered by element 115. The new film does not add a piece of public-record evidence to that list.

Today, alongside the documentary pipeline, Lazar continues to operate United Nuclear Scientific Supplies in Oregon. The storefront sells lab glassware, uranium ore samples, and Geiger counters alongside signed S-4 blueprints and Area 51 apparel. The next date on the It's Probably Nothing West Coast tour calendar is the August 2026 Tucson stop. The mystery of S-4 remains unsolved, but the machine built around it is running at full speed.
