Tim Burchett says he has heard claims of eight alien species
Rep. Tim Burchett told The Officer Tatum he has heard claims about eight alien species. He did not give names, records, or a document trail.
In a May 25 interview with The Officer Tatum, Burchett was asked whether claims about different alien species were verifiable or more mythical.
Burchett said he had heard claims of "about eight different species." He added that he would not know until he could see it directly.
The exchange came near the end of a longer conversation about the new UAP file releases, congressional pressure, and what Burchett says remains outside public view. The host asked about online claims that there are different types of beings. Burchett first said he would call that territory mythical, then described a private meeting in Tennessee where visitors showed him material on a screen and discussed claims that had previously sounded fringe to him.
He did not name the visitors. He did not name a program. He did not identify a document. He did not say the material had been authenticated.
He also said he remains cautious because people send him material, ask him to visit them, and may be trying to set him up.
The interview also touched the other recurring Burchett themes: files released in batches, alleged resistance inside agencies, claims that some material may be held by private contractors, and the idea that some public-release footage may be easy to dismiss.
But the species line is the one that will travel.
It also sits next to a broader media pattern. A separate "four alien species" claim has already moved through tabloid and podcast channels without a public source file. Burchett's version is different in number and source chain, but the public problem is similar: alien taxonomy is being discussed in interviews before any underlying record is on the table.
The interview gives a claim about what Burchett says he has heard. It does not give a document, witness transcript, program record, biological report, or congressional filing that names eight species.
For now, the number is attached to Burchett's interview, not to a released file.
