Historical UFO files, old cases, and pre-modern records
Historical UFO files, old cases, and pre-modern records. From the 1561 Nuremberg broadsheet and the 1665 Stralsund air battle, through 1947 Roswell and the 1950s-60s Project Sign / Grudge / Blue Book era, to the 1980s Stasi files and the CIA UFO archive.
What this topic covers
Historical UFO files, old cases, and pre-modern records that keep reappearing in the UAP conversation. The hub runs from the 1561 Nuremberg sky-battle broadsheet and the 1665 Stralsund air-battle broadsheet through the 1947 Roswell case, the 1949 Army flying-saucer study, the 1950s-60s Project Sign / Grudge / Blue Book era, the 1980s DDR Stasi file trail, and the CIA's UFO archive. Each piece is a source-chain artifact first, a UFO story second.

Why this matters
The historical record is where the modern disclosure cycle keeps returning for source material. Most of the case files in the CIA / FBI / Department of War releases are old cases re-circulated through FOIA. The 1561 and 1665 broadsheets keep getting shared as "UFO evidence" on social media. The 1947 Roswell and 1949 Russia questions are still live policy questions. None of these cases are decisive on their own, but together they are the public spine of the historical record.
